Serial Entrepreneur // Educator // Youth Advocate // Host Brandon Okpalobi is a Nigerian-American former athlete. His energetic hands-on, team-based approach to science education challenges students to learn, grow and push their limits. The makings of any good coach. He understood the direct connection between comprehensive early education, engaging children after school and providing mentorship with improved grades and reduced ‘risky’ behavior. He founded Dibia DREAM and Dibia Athletic helping kids in New Orleans and Miami-Dade County. In 2013, he founded Dibia DREAM, an organization providing year-round STEM education to school-age children who may not have otherwise been exposed to or felt confident enough to participate in the sciences. Since its founding, thousands of students have learned how to create electricity, understand solar power, build and launch rockets, and more through Dibia DREAM alongside peers and caring, specially trained staff.
