Kimmi also offers: Create your own cookie events ( book one in your home or come to one of her scheduled events). Bring a friend and and your favorite cocktail, fill your own cookies with your favorite fillings. Make them all the same or each one different. Leave the event with a dozen cookies to share with family and friends.

MARTINS MINIATURE MARKETPLACE A BLEND OF CRAFTSMANSHIP & TECHNOLOGY We are a family-owned business located in rural Ohio. Our workshop and our home are located on land from our family’s farm. Mary grew up watching the fields being plowed by actual horsepower. The windmill pumped water for the horses and cows in the pastures. A lot of craftsmanship was displayed in filling the needs of the farm work and family. Today our workshop is located in a revitalized three-bay auto body shop that was built and operated by Mary’s father. We have a solar array that provides the power we need to supply our daily needs and run the technology used to create our products. Craftsmanship is still alive as we make our ideas come to life through designs that start on paper and transform into digital graphics. The graphic forms the basis for a prototype to be cut on our laser cutter. Our products are made of a variety of materials, mostly hardwoods, and acrylic. Most pieces are prepared, assembled, and finished by hand. New techniques and tools are always being tested and added to our workflow. Our workshop is filled with wood, acrylic, and a variety of tools to allow us to create our products. We love crafting quality items and fulfilling custom orders for people. These processes blend years of experience and talent brought to us by knowledge and interest in arts, crafts, and technology. We are happy to create miniatures that provide a sense of craftsmanship and quality to our customers.

High Power Rocketry

I can display an engineering program called OPEN ROCKET that simulates flight data for any rocket and motor in advance to launching. I am Level 1 certified for up to H and I powered motors. I am attempting my Level 2 certification for J, K, and L motors in the next month or two.

3D Printer Lending Library

This 3D printer kit was made available through a lending library program that was inspired by the availability of low cost hardware, initial availability of Windows computers, and the notion that people may want to have a trial 3D printer experience before making their own investment. The essence of this program is that a package containing everything needed to initially explore 3D printing can be borrowed for a period of time. The 3D printer being used in this program is the EasyThreeD Model X1. This 3D printer uses PLA filament and has a working volume of about a 4” cube. We will be brining one or two 3D Printers and several 3D Pens.

At the Maker Faire Wayne County well will provide a giant AMS made SkeeBowl machine that participants can try their skills to launch a bowling ball up the ramp in to the target holes. Also on hand will be AMS made DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) pads where attendees can practice their moves! Also available will be examples of other AMS projects.
