D-Box

At MakerFaire, I am excited to showcase my Bottle Cap Art Car, a unique fusion of artistic expression and therapeutic innovation. This mobile art installation is crafted from thousands of recycled bottle caps, symbolizing my commitment to upcycling, sustainability and environmental consciousness. More than just a visual spectacle, the Bottle Cap Art Car serves as a vibrant platform to bring awareness to VibroAcoustic Therapy (VAT). By integrating Sound Oasis' VTS-2000 units within the art car, I have created an immersive sound bath experience where visitors can directly engage with the healing power of frequency, sound and vibration. My aim is to demonstrate how VAT can be seamlessly incorporated into everyday life, making holistic wellness accessible and engaging for all.

The Ghost EV

This is a very high efficiency electric vehicle built from the ground up. It seats two people in tandem for a very low CD (coefficient of drag) and a small cross section. The Ghost uses only 18KWh of batteries but gets 100 miles per charge in real world driving and even more on pure highway driving. This has an AC motor, regenerative braking and lithium batteries. It is street legal, registered and insured. The body is made of an aluminum nose in the front and a wood strip for the rest. The goal was to make a modern retro design reminiscent of the 1920's Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. Most people like fast sports cars, but I prefer highly efficient, practical designs that can be made at a low cost.

Justin Grays Fire Sculpture robots! Showing this weekend are Libby, Boris, Darwin and the H.M.W.L.R. (high mobility wheeled logistics robot). Libby the robot was repowered approximately 14 years ago with old telecom battery's but special for Maker Faire 2024 she has been repowered with all new lithium batteries. She has hydraulic tracks driven remotely with ethanol and propane fire. Boris the robot: Boris has also been repowered with lithium battery's! Originally built in 2009 with a debut show in Denmark Boris is built from and old tracked trenching machine. Darwin: An old soul, Darwin was built over 20 years ago, powered by dual 30hp dc motors with tons of power.
