ANTIBACTERIAL TABLEWARE

Faire: Rome

Maker: Ceramiche NOI S.c.a.r.l.

The "Antibacterial Plate" project stems from an important Research & Development phase that the company has already undertaken since 2020 during the pandemic. We wondered what could be needed in such a moment and what it could cope with in a market like ours to a pandemic but also to an improvement of catering and private environments. This is how the research and first prototyping phase of this project began, which saw the filing of a patent for a particular object which, due to its particularity, can reject up to 99% of the bacteria that deposit on it can be bacteria of various types and by imagining the various "passages" of dishes, for example in a restaurant or self-service restaurant or naval restaurant halls, we hypothesized that these objects could have an enormous plus compared to other identical but not antibacterial objects. We have therefore arrived at the laboratory certification of products both in single color and with antibacterial decorations and decals with a characteristic that resists the microwave oven and dishwasher for the entire life of the product without ever failing up to at its breakup. This product is extremely innovative as it can be used in many areas, both private and public, to increase hygiene and above all to counteract the spread of bacteria in the kitchen and in refreshment areas without considering that being reusable after washing it is also highly environmental impact and reduces the use of "single portions" which are extremely polluting today.

Invaerso: design & innovazione, artigianalità e upcycling.

Faire: Rome

Maker: Invaerso di Maria Clelia Scuteri

Invaerso was born from a project by the Roman designer Maria Clelia Scuteri, who with this brand wants to tell her own design vision in the approach to design. The creative process, when free to express itself outside any conventional scheme, becomes an infinite flow of ideas, capable of making anything possible. The jewel is a pretext: the aspiration is to create Designs to wear; something that has the ability to leave its mark, that is beautiful to look at and unique to "experience", but at the same time that knows how to tell a story, and has its own compositional, formal, material and conceptual identity. It doesn't matter if fluid or straight lines, soft or rigid; it is the design approach that aims at a continuous and incessant research towards an evolutionary goal made up of experiments without "rules" understood as preconceptions. "The only goal to strive for is the creation of something unexpected and unique, outside of what we consider ordinary". How? Through the creation of a unique and complex supply chain , the result of a strong creative sensitivity capable of subverting traditional rules combined with the use of different production techniques set up in a system that is always different (including: traditional metal casting, 3d printing technology , upcycling of industrial materials, lost wax, the craftsmanship of filigree).

ArtHouse Candle

Faire: Rome

Maker: Fabrizio D'Eramo

ART-HOUSE CANDLE is an innovative project about handmade candle making using modern techniques and traditional methods. Technological tools, such as the CNC milling cutter, are used in the last phases of candle’s creation (decoration or finishing touch), in addition to the classic techniques of engraving, drawing and sculpting. Raw materials are processed following ancient artisan techniques: the materials are melted in bain-marie, adding colours and perfumes. The basic shapes are obtained from handmade molds. The product has some peculiarities (see the picture below) that make it stand out from other classic candles: the final fragrant wax artwork won't burn; infact it will act as a container of a smaller perfumed candle that will not only emit a pleasant scent, but also serve as a light source. Adding a small amount of water in the bowl will prevent the little candle from burning the container once it reaches the end of the wick. Doing so will preserve the wax artwork, that will last forever.

The game consists of two controllers: one in the hands of the commander and one in the hands of the seeker. The commander will have to hide the three aliens, located in the seeker's controller, and then click the arrows on his controller, to give directions to the seeker. Once the directions are sent, they will be immediately received by the seeker, who will follow the arrows to find the aliens and collect them in his controller.

Dotzero

Faire: Rome

Maker: 0. srl

Dotzero is a Tuscan sneaker startup that is revolutionizing the footwear industry through upcycling and sustainable innovation. Dotzero's mission is to create shoes that are not only high-quality and visually appealing, but also environmentally responsible. By using materials sourced from waste and production excess, Dotzero transforms these resources into new sneakers, thus reducing the environmental impact of footwear production. What sets Dotzero apart is its approach to the infinite recyclability of its shoes. Once a Dotzero shoe reaches the end of its lifecycle, customers can return it to the company through a take-back and recycling program. The shoes are then disassembled, and the materials are recovered and reintegrated into the production process, minimizing waste and promoting a circular economy. Dotzero also commits to using cutting-edge technologies, such as blockchain, to ensure the traceability and certification of its productions. Through the use of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), each pair of Dotzero sneakers is registered on a public blockchain, providing consumers with the assurance of authenticity and the sustainable origin of the materials used. Dotzero serves as a benchmark for the sustainable footwear industry, demonstrating that it is possible to combine style, quality, and environmental respect. With their innovation and commitment, Dotzero is redefining the concept of sneakers, paving the way for a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.
